"Nopales"

This oil (30" x 30") is painted on Ampersand cradleboard, which is a gessoed panel mounted on 2" deep birch ply. It gives my work a contemporary look and does not require framing. This painting will be at Legacy Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona - along with four other new southwest pieces.

  1. Yum. Nopalitos! Wonderful range of subtle colors with splashes of reds. Would love to see it even more up close. Looks like more from your watercolor days of greater detail. Probably that "Monet effect" of my eye (brain) filling in details from farther away. Love it. _ Michael

  2. Oh my goodness...I was curious about your sudden, unexplained switch on your site from paintings to photography...then realized this was a painting, too. Bravo! What a eye you have.
